SaluMedica's mission is to design, develop and commercialize medical devices that will significantly improve the lives of patients. SaluMedica's team of physicians, scientists, engineers, and industry specialists is dedicated to applying our proprietary Salubria biomaterial technology for the advancement of medicine. Three products made from Salubria biomaterial have been brought to market since the companies inception in 1999. The first, a nerve cuff, is an implant designed to restore function and sensation to patients with peripheral nerve injuries. This product is available worldwide through a license and distribution agreement with Arthrex Corporation and sold under the name Hydrosheath™. The company’s second product was designed to provide a less invasive solution to patients suffering from pain and loss of mobility due to cartilage defects as a result of arthritis and sports injury. This product is available outside the US through an agreement with Carticept Medical. A third product developed by Spinemedica, the Paradis Vaso Shield™, has received FDA clearance as a cover for vessels following anterior vertebral surgery.

SaluMedica will continue to refine existing products and foster partnerships, as well as pursue additional opportunities for medical devices replacing soft tissue in the body.
